Where is your organization in its journey of digital transformation? Just beginning or well into the process? It’s not a simple path, and there’s no one “right” way for every organization to follow. Whether you’re just starting or it seems your organization has transformed, Wrike’s recent webinar can offer some food for thought.
Titled “The ROI of Enterprise Collaboration and Work Management in the Digital Workplace,” it covered a lot of ground. Wrike’s founder and CEO Andrew Filev spoke with Art Schoeller of Forrester Research and Sara Jusseaume of Vizient, a healthcare performance improvement company. They discussed the best collaboration software, ROI calculations, and real-world examples. It’s a timely topic, said Filev.
“Consumers and many businesses are operating under the assumption that brands are fully digital, while those brands are still undergoing the digital transformation,” said Filev. “There are many advantages to the end result but getting there can cause challenges — like information overload for employees — that need to be managed for an organization to be successful.”
Schoeller, vice president and principal analyst at Forrester Research, agreed. “This is an exciting time for digital transformation in all industries,” he said. “We’ve interviewed companies and employees to figure out what companies are trying to achieve with their digital transformation and what tech tools help get teams into the ‘flow’ state, where they are most productive.”
“Collaboration technology is the connective tissue of the customer experience ecosystem.”
Schoeller dove into the Tech Tide for Enterprise Collaboration and shared some interesting insights into both emerging and old-school technologies. “Maturity drives familiarity, but there’s a difference between the tools considered ‘critical’ to work today and the tools that drive productivity.”
Sara Jusseaume of Vizient has first-hand experience managing teams with collaboration tools and without — and much prefers working with them. “Our work is like an assembly line, in a way. Everyone has a role to play, there isn’t a lot of visibility into the big picture, and it never stops. We needed a dashboard that made invisible work visible and enabled us to be proactive in addressing issues or risks.”
Filev also shared the 5 pillars of enterprise collaboration ROI:
- Security
- Integration
- Automation
- Intuitiveness
- Configurability
Once those are addressed, organizations can follow his “nail it, then scale it” philosophy. “Collaboration offers unprecedented opportunities to scale business and makes it easier to manage the impact of technology on your business,” said Filev.
